First Purse
I started working on this purse back in October. I'm keeping this one for myself, but I hope to have several more like it for sale in my Etsy shop after the new year.

Instructions:
Knit two leaves.
With your wire cutters or scissors, snip off about 2 feet of wire. The edges of your leaves will curl under in the back. This is where you will weave in your wire.
Weave the wire all the way around the leaf. At the base of the leaf, twist the wires together to close.
Next, measure around your hips. Cut enough suede cord to fit snugly around your hips, but make sure to leave a few inches for knotting. Braid the suede cords and tie a knot on each end. Cut a small piece of elastic. With your needle and thread, sew the elastic to each end of the suede cord. This will keep your loin cloth from slipping off. Your suede cord should now form a hoop.
To finish, sew one leaf to the front and one leaf to the back of your cord. For an extra spring in your step, try knitting your leaves with wool yarn.

Collard Green & Beef Egg Rolls
I came up with a pretty easy recipe for egg rolls stuffed with collard greens, carrots, zucchini, and lean beef. Aside from the quick dip in oil at the end, these are quite healthy and delicious.
Start by cutting all of the vegetables and the beef into thin strips. Then toss everything into a frying pan and cook it in water until the veggies are al dente.
Brush the corner of the wraps with egg. Fold the veggies and beef into the wrap.
In a small bowl, mix together 2 teaspoons of cornstarch and 4 teaspoons of water. Bring the vinegar mixture to a boil, then add the cornstarch mixture to thicken. Add 1/8 teaspoon of sugar. It's ready for dipping!
Now heat your oil in a pan and fry away!
